Placing an insect hotel can have a very positive impact on the ecosystem in your environment. INSTALLATION An insect hotel is best placed so that the entrances face southeast or south, in the full sun. A southwesterly orientation should be avoided to prevent rain from entering. Furthermore, a sheltered location is preferred, so if possible, it should be shielded from strong winds. It is essential that the box is placed near, preferably native, flowering plants.
